Developed based on principles from Rational-Emotive & Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT/REBT), PsyPills are grounded in evidence supporting their efficacy in promoting psychological well-being and addressing mild, transient negative mood states. It is important to note that PsyPills are intended solely as an auxiliary resource and do not replace professional psychological assessment or treatment. The decision to pursue specific interventions should be made following a comprehensive psychological evaluation.

The app begins with an assessment of your mood over the past few weeks through a questionnaire, providing an immediate report on your emotional state—such as positive versus negative feelings and functional versus dysfunctional moods. Subsequently, you will be prompted to rate your current mood and thoughts. Based on this information, you will receive a tailored "psychological pill prescription." You may then reassess your mood to evaluate the effectiveness of the prescribed techniques.

Additional features include the ability to print your “psychological prescription,” set reminders aligned with your personalized plan, and review your medication history. The app emphasizes user privacy by not collecting identifiable information or location data; all provided data is securely stored and solely used for research and statistical purposes aimed at evaluating the program’s effectiveness.

With PsyPills, users have access to CBT/REBT-informed strategies aimed at enhancing stress resilience and emotional regulation, fostering better coping mechanisms during challenging situations.
